Following the terminology of election law in California, the main body of voting members of the Libertarian Party of Santa Clara County is called the Central Committee. For information about becoming a member of the county Central Committee, visit the Membership page.
The Libertarian Party of Santa Clara County is managed on an ongoing basis by its Executive Committee, consisting of officers elected annually by the Central Committee.
The three-member Judicial Committee hears and rules on appeals of actions of the Executive Committee.
The Libertarian Party of Santa Clara County is governed by a Constitution, Bylaws, and Meeting Rules.
The Libertarian Party of Santa Clara County is a unit of the Libertarian Party of California (LPC), which handles party business at the state level and maintains a state office.
Through the LPC, the LP of Santa Clara County is also affiliated with the national Libertarian Party, which has affiliates in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, holds a presidential nominating convention every four years, and maintains a national office in Alexandria, Virginia.
The national Libertarian Party is a member of the International Alliance of Libertarian Parties, which facilitates communication among political parties working for similar goals around the world.
